Following our announcement about the unification of Farmcrowdy, Farmgate Africa and Agricsquare as Farmcrowdy, we would like to officially announce the launch of our new platform.

When we first started Farmcrowdy, our goal was to empower rural farmers across Africa, thereby enabling everyone to participate in the achievement of global food security. Since launching in November 2016, we have empowered 25,000+ and expanded to 14 states across the country.
One of the biggest requests we got from our farm sponsors was the opportunity to sponsor more farms and we have constantly gotten this request over the years. To that end, we would like to first explain the rationale behind the unification of the three companies.
Farmcrowdy is the arm of our business responsible for generating sponsorship, farming and providing access to markets for farmers; Farmgate Africa is responsible for commodity trading and processing while Agricsquare is a platform where people get the latest news about agriculture and hold different discussions about the agric industry.
By combining all three companies into one, we will be able to create a seamless approach, from farming to trading to selling commodities, which will result in us being able to open more farms for sponsorship.
Managing Director, Farmcrowdy
To this end, we are pleased to announce Kenneth Obiajulu as Farmcrowdy’s new Managing Director. Kenneth Obiajulu was the MD of Farmgate Africa team for five months and in those months was able to work alongside the Farmcrowdy team to secure partnerships with Livestock247 and BestFoods Group.
The Managing Director, alongside members of the managing team of Farmcrowdy will be responsible for the day to day running of the business and continue to identify opportunities for Farmcrowdy to empower more farmers across different states in Nigeria
We are confident that under his leadership, Farmcrowdy will continue to expand and record more successes.
However, that’s not all. Since 2016, we have been able to perfect our business model and create a structure for agriculture startups that didn’t exist in the past. Over the years, we have perfected this model and generated millions of dollars in sponsorship.
Achieving the SDGs
We believe that not only will this model work in agriculture, but it can be applied in other sectors, and our ultimate goal is to be a major player in the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are listed below:
GOAL 1: No Poverty
GOAL 2: Zero Hunger
GOAL 3: Good Health and Well-being
GOAL 4: Quality Education
GOAL 5: Gender Equality
GOAL 6: Clean Water and Sanitation
GOAL 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
GOAL 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
GOAL 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure
