Life Lessons From The Crate Challenge

I know a lot of people would agree that the Crate Challenge is/was one of the most pointless and silliest challenges on the internet. I mean, why would you take up a challenge that could literally land you in the hospital? However, some people (albeit very few) actually took up the challenge and were successful. This prompted us to look at the challenge and pick out the valuable life lessons below.

  • Life is full of uncertainties but that should not stop you: Most people started climbing the crates, not knowing whether or not the crates would be able to support them as they went higher. However, this uncertainty didn’t deter them from going ahead. In life, you will not always be 100% certain about how the journey (Business, Career, or Financial) will look like. Nevertheless, you have to take the first step with faith and trust that everything will work out.
  •  Be Bold: A lot of times, we are faced with seemingly “dangerous” decisions in our businesses, careers, or personal lives. The outcomes of these decisions could either be very good or very bad. Life is full of risks but you should be bold enough to put your best foot forward in order to achieve success. Believe in yourself enough to take the first step, and then another, and another. You may take a few wrong steps here and there, but don’t stay down after you fall, get up and keep going. Remember, fortune favors the bold.
  • Be prepared for emergencies : Life is full of emergencies which could be caused by ill-health, political unrest, economic crisis, or even natural disasters. Emergencies always give rise to unplanned financial obligations and this is why it is extremely important to have an Emergency Fund. Most people who participated in the crate challenge had confidence in the health care system of their countries. That is the type of confidence you have when you know that there’s something to fall back on. Create an Emergency Fund plan on Crowdyvest today earn good interest.
